ABOUT

Cedar Rankin-Cheek is a recent fine arts graduate from the University of Western Australia. Over the past three years she has been developing a strong contemporary art practice engaging with ideas around sexuality, the body and cleanliness. Her work is born from her own bodily experiences and understandings of capitalism, gender and cleanliness; her sculptures being sites of healing and vehicles for learning and understanding bodies. She works primarily with soft sculpture and installation but also has experience with bio-art, papier mache and woodworking. Rankin-Cheek is extremely passionate about her practice and is continuing to experience and grow knowledge by engaging with and showcasing her work in new and diverse spaces.

Cedar Rankin-Cheek lives and works in Boorloo, Western Australia.
